CHARLOTTE COUNTY RECOVERY AT A GLANCE [https://www.fema.gov/fact-sheet/charlotte-county-recovery-glance-0] Release Date: Dec 14, 2022 Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Ian, Charlotte County residents have received more than $239.5 million in federal funds as of Dec. 12, 2022: * $68.1 MILLION in FEMA grants to homeowners and renters. * $171.4 MILLION in U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) low-interest disaster loans approved for homeowners, renters, and businesses. INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE IN CHARLOTTE COUNTY: * 54,452 homeowners and renters have been approved for $68,104,056 in federal grants through FEMA’s Individuals and Households Program. This includes: * $44,081,877 in Housing Assistance grants for home repair, home replacement, and/or rental assistance. * $24,022,179 in Other Needs Assistance grants to replace essential household items and for other critical disaster-related expenses. * 3,051 homeowners and renters have been approved for rental assistance. * DISASTER SURVIVOR ASSISTANCE (DSA) visited 20,000 households in Charlotte County. U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION: * SBA has approved $171,473,970 in low-interest disaster loans to 2,515 applicants in Charlotte County. PUBLIC ASSISTANCE: * Charlotte County was approved for assistance for debris removal, emergency protective measures and permanent work.
