HOLIDAY CLOSURES SET FOR DISASTER RECOVERY CENTERS [https://www.fema.gov/news-release/20200220/holiday-closures-set-disaster-recovery-centers] Release Date: December 26, 2019 SIOUX FALLS, SD — Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in South Dakota will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 24; Christmas Day, Dec. 25; and New Year’s Day, Jan.1, 2020.  Except for the holiday closures, centers are open Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. until further notice. The Hanson County center in Alexandria will end operations Saturday, Dec. 28. Open center locations are: DAVISON COUNTY, Davison County Fairgrounds, 3200 W. Havens Ave., Mitchell, SD LAKE COUNTY, 455 S. Highland Ave., Madison, SD MINNEHAHA COUNTY, Southeast Technical Institute – Ed Wood Center Rooms 205 and 207, 2000 N. Career Ave., Sioux Falls, SD HANSON COUNTY, Hanson County Courthouse, 720 5th St., Alexandria, SD. Closing Dec. 28. You do not need to visit a DRC to register for federal assistance. Lines are open daily from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Help is available in most languages. * At one of FEMA’s disaster recovery center locations. Find your closest center at  fema.gov/drclocator [http://www.fema.gov/drclocator]. Centers are accessible and are equipped with video remote interpreting and assistive listening devices.
