ATLANTA – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has sent
Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) teams to seven additional counties
where survivors of Hurricane Michael are now eligible for Individual
Assistance.

The additional counties include CALHOUN, CLAY, LAURENS, RANDOLPH,
SUMTER, TIFT, AND TURNER.

The DSA teams will help homeowners, renters, and business owners
register for assistance, identify and address immediate and emerging
needs, and make referrals to other local, state, and voluntary
agencies for additional support.

Like all FEMA personnel, DSA team members can be identified by their
official federal photo ID badge and the FEMA logo on their
shirts/vests. They will ask survivors for some personal information
needed for registration, including: Social Security number, annual
income and bank information, as well as names of occupants of the
impacted property. SURVIVORS SHOULD ALWAYS ASK TO SEE OFFICIAL
IDENTIFICATION BEFORE PROVIDING ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

available; press 2 for a Spanish language operator. The toll-free
numbers are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET, seven days a week.

Baker, Crisp, Decatur, Dougherty, Early, Grady, Lee, Miller, Mitchell,
Seminole, Terrell, Thomas, and Worth counties were previously
designated for Individual Assistance.
