TRUMP APPROVES MAJOR DISASTER DECLARATION FOR NEBRASKA [https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20210318/president-donald-j-trump-approves-major-disaster-declaration-nebraska-2] Release Date: August 27, 2018 WASHINGTON – The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced today that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Nebraska to supplement state, tribal, and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding on June 17 to July 1, 2018. Federal funding is also available to the state, tribal, and local governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency work and the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding in Cedar, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Harlan, Logan, Thomas, Thurston, and Wayne counties. Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation measures within the state. Constance C. Johnson-Cage has been named as the Federal Coordinating Officer for federal recovery operations in the affected area.
