D-SNAP FOR HURRICANE IAN SURVIVORS

Households that may not normally be eligible under regular
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) rules may qualify for
D-SNAP if they meet certain criteria:

 	* Must NOT be receiving regular SNAP benefits
 	* Must have been living or working in a disaster-declared county at
the time of Hurricane Ian.
 	* Must fall within certain income limits.

	* Must have suffered a disaster-related loss such as: 

 	* Damage to their home or self-employment property
 	* Loss of food
 	* Reduction or loss of income
 	* Other disaster-related expenses

Eligible households will receive one month of benefits they can use to
purchase groceries at SNAP-authorized stores or from select retailers
online [https://www.fns.usda.gov/snap/online-purchasing-pilot] to meet
their temporary food needs as they settle back home following the
disaster.

Details on Florida’s D-SNAP program will be available at the Florida
Department of Children and Families’ Hurricane Ian Response &
Recovery website [https://www.myflfamilies.com/hurricaneian/]. D-SNAP
sites will be posted on the website as they become available.
