BATON ROUGE, La. – FEMA’s Community Education and Outreach offers free webinars to help those affected by the recent hurricanes with their recovery.

The webinars will be held Feb. 23 and 25 at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The topics are:

Mitigation Overview for Veterans and Military Families. (Feb. 23)

How to Clean Up After a Flood. (Feb. 25)

BATON ROUGE, La. – Hurricane Delta survivors in Allen and Iberia parishes who suffered damage and/or losses as a result of Hurricane Delta (Oct. 6-10, 2020) have until Feb. 21 to register with FEMA for possible financial assistance.

FEMA added Allen and Iberia parishes to the disaster declaration for Hurricane Delta Dec. 23.

BATON ROUGE, La. – Do you know, or are you a teen who has a passion for preparedness? FEMA’s Individual and Community Preparedness Division is now accepting Youth Preparedness Council (YPC) applications. Since 2012, FEMA has brought youth from across the nation together. The YPC provides an opportunity to join FEMA in the critical mission of emergency preparedness.

BATON ROUGE, La. – The Disaster Recovery Center in Lake Charles will close permanently at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.

In the place of the DRC, the state of Louisiana and FEMA will implement a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC), currently under development.
